Leo is the local heart behind Costa Retreats.
With deep roots in Tamarindo and trusted relationships on the ground, he brings a level of access, care, and insight that cannot be replicated from afar. He understands the rhythm of the place, knows which details matter, and helps turn each stay into something that feels both elevated and genuinely personal.​
His role is not simply to coordinate logistics. It is to make sure the experience feels right, from the first recommendation to the final detail.
Intentional Dining
To elevate the experience beyond the expected, we partner with Flora & Fauna — a U.S.-based culinary company known for delivering private, high-end weddings and bespoke dining experiences. Bringing this level of expertise into our retreats allows us to offer not just exceptional food, but a full-service standard that is rarely found in this setting.
Their team operates with a quiet precision and professionalism that shapes the entire atmosphere — from the way ingredients are sourced to how each meal is presented and served. The result is effortless for our guests, yet deeply considered behind the scenes. Together, we create a dining experience that feels elevated, seamless, and entirely in tune with the rhythm of the retreat.
The town of Tamarindo gets its name from the tamarind tree (Tamarindus indica). According to local tradition, a large tamarind tree once stood near the beach and served as a landmark for travelers and fishermen, eventually giving its name to the area.
